Union Christian College (UCC) , Aluva was founded way back in 1921 as a very prestigious institute of higher education in Kerala , South India .The college is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University and is one of the top colleges in Kerala.

Story of UCC Alumni in UAE is similar to such "desires" of old students of UC College residing in UAE for over three decades. Formation of an alumni chapter has some similarities with space ambitions of our country in 80's and 90's. In spite of failures now ISRO boasts successfully taking the maximum number of satellites to the orbit from our own vehicle.  There have been few attempts by old students of the college in UAE to form an alumni from 1995. Due to various reasons all of those genuine efforts of has not succeeded until 2013 when Ramesh Puthalathu, Faisal Hameed, Koshy M Koshy, Suresh Varma and Boney Mathew met in Sharjah with the determination to revive UCC Alumni. Now this is the fourth year in row we have been successfully convening meetings in different emirates. At least three to four get-togethers are conducted in an year under the banner of UCC Alumni in UAE with participation crossing double digits.
